With many great tunes in our book, Swing's the Thing will bring your event to life by playing hits from a variety of new artists, while respecting the origins of big band by playing tunes from the books of such legends as Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Woody Herman, just to name a few. Swing's the Thing's repertory covers a wide range of dance styles that include swing, rock, ballad, blues, cha cha, rumba, mambo, samba, waltz, disco, foxtrot and polka.

Swing's the Thing proudly features our vocalist/pianist, Jan Schlosser - Wise, on a variety of our great charts.

In recent years, Swing's the Thing has performed for corporate functions in Cincinnati, for private parties and receptions, and at several Columbus area public events that included Worthington's Concert on the Green, Lancaster's Friday Night at the Bandstand, Grove City's Summer Sizzle Concert Series, Westerville's Summer Concert Series, Whitehall's Music in the Park, Groveport's Music in the Park and at Wagnall's Memorial Auditorium in Lithopolis. Swing's the Thing has especially enjoyed performing for the Ohio State University Swing Dance Club at The Ohio Union on several occasions.

And now the band is playing the 4th Friday of every month beginning July 25th, 2008 at the Maennerchor located on South High Steet near German Village. Check out our schedule and come hear us play. Don't forget to bring your dance shoes!
